Villa La Meridiana Cascina Reinè is one of the few Liberty style villas to be found in the Alba area and is located on the road going up towards Altavilla, about one kilometre from Alba. The villa is surrounded by vineyards, orchards and woods.
Villa La Meridiana is a family home and it offers a warm welcome to anyone who wants to enjoy the views, wines and all the other pleasures the Langhe area offers. The Roman city of Alba, known in the past as Alba Pompeia, was famous for its one hundred towers and is now world famous as the capital of the white truffle and of prestigious wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Barbera.
Villa La Meridiana – Cascina Reinè opened for farm tourism in 1985 after complete restructuring, and we have decided to open a tourist activity to promote our countryside and rural traditions.
A full breakfast is served with home grown fruit and home made jams and there are also wine tasting sessions especially of our organic Barbera and Nebbiolo produced from our vineyards.
Pleasant walks through our vineyards and also through the “tartufaia” (truffle area) which extends as far as the river, or, in summer, why not try your hand at archery, swimming, playing table tennis, or trekking?
An ample sunny ‘dehors’ is used for breakfast most of the year round and when the weather is colder the rustic style kitchen and breakfast room are available to guests.
Connoisseurs will discover that Villa La Meridiana Cascina Reinè is an excellent starting point for gourmet itineraries through the Langa Roero hills: small taverns, restaurants and wine cellars where culinary art and hospitality come naturally.
